Hey there readers!
I bet you're wondering how the taste testing is going, right? Well let me tell you. I'm not an alcohol person so far :P
I tried the Pinot Grigio first. I smelled it and it smelled really sweet. I thought "Hey, I might like this one!" Damn was that a mistake. It tasted so disgusting I wanted to vomit. Though not as disgusting as Dissarono. Man, I couldn't even TASTE that stuff. I blame Eric Budge for this disappointment :P
Here's the story.
I tell him what I get for Christmas and, naturally, he's like "Choice drinks. Try the Dissarono next." I say sure, why not? Going to try it anyway at some point, I'll try it next just for him~ He tells me "put it on the rocks, it makes it sweeter." So, naturally, I put it on the rocks to try it after the Pinot Grigio. I let sit for a bit to chill, swish it around, I get near the glass, and I almost barf. It smelled sooooo bad.
Well, of course I have to taste it just to see if it's as nasty as it smells. I mean jeeze, I've tasted worse things than that, right?
......
WRONG!!
My tongue touched the rim of the glass and that was it for me. All I had to do was taste the rim where the bottle had sat while I poured it (a little spilled on the rim). I gagged so bad and that was the end of it. I immediately downed a container of 10 fl oz juice and just kept drinking LOL
From the experiences I've had, I've come to the conclusion that I much prefer virgin drinks to alcoholic ones :P

Okay, so you're all probably wondering what anime is, right? To put it simply, it's cartoons that are made for teens and adults and are basically like movies, but animated. A lot of anime comes from manga, which are Japanese originating comic books for teens and adults. Again, they're basically novels but in picture form. They're very fun and addicting once you read/watch them. I honestly suggest everyone trying both at least once in their lives. There's so much diversity in genres, there's something for -everyone-. Oh, and if you all remember that old cartoon show on Cartoon Network called Sailor Moon? That, my friends, is an example of anime <3
Want to know the sort of anime I watch? Here's a link of everything I've ever seen. (in the completed section, of course).
The watching/plan to watch sections are -very- full. But that's because I use the watching section as a "plan to watch" list as well LOL

As you saw from my last blog, I got quite a bit of anime for Christmas. This was because I saw a sale at amazon.com and forwarded it to Mom. She asked me what anime I was even looking at in the ad, and so I told her the list. Little did I know, she was actually buying them for me! So of course, I was happily surprised and started watching them almost immediately. So far I've watched Sasami: Magical Girls Club Season 1 & 2, Kanon, and Magikano.
Magikano is something that I've already watched before, but I absolutely adore it. It's a really fun anime full of dirty innuendos, crazy high schoolers obsessed with the super-natural, witches who always get into trouble, and memory hammers up the wazoo. So many, in fact, you wonder how the poor boy is still functioning properly and doesn't have brain damage xD;
Sasami: Magical Girls Club.... Well, to be honest it let me down. I had never seen it before, but the info on it sounded adorable! It was very disappointing and unoriginal character-wise. :( It took 3 or 4 characters from the old show Tenchi Muyo (another Cartoon Network show that is an example of an anime ;)) and threw them together without rhyme nor reason and created a new show. Basically recycling them. However, that aside, I loved the anime. It's cutesy, funny, and an over all sweet anime that anyone could watch. Definitely one of those animes that you want to watch when you need something cute and funny to make you feel better. It's full of magic going array, evil witches trying to use the Magical Girls for plots, and lots of battles :)
Kanon... Oh dear, where do I begin? It's sweet, it's depressing, it's touching, and it's just an over all amazing anime. I had never seen it before and I was truly thrilled by it. I cried, I laughed, and I couldn't get enough of this series. Definitely lived up to the expectations of it. If you're really into romance novels and plot twists you would never expect, I HIGHLY recommend this anime to you all. It's so amazing, it's as if you're in the story-line. It draws you in, just like a novel. A really well done anime. <3

Now, it wasn't JUST anime that I've been watching. I also stole my brother's The Sorcerer's Apprentice and watched it. I LOVED it. So cute. It lacked in some areas, but over all it was really fun. I loved seeing all of the Fantasia references xD; And it was really good seeing Nicholas Cage in the role he was in -- fit him PERFECTLY. Truly could not imagine anyone else playing that role.
